Aims and Scope

Journal of Water is open access, peer-reviewed journal that aims in providing a high-profile international outlet for analyses and discussions of all aspects of water, environment, and society. JW is an open access and peer reviewed journal. Research articles, short communications, reviews and letters to the editor are accepted for publication. JW highlights the importance of water and its multifaceted utility approach in our vital ecosystems. It also promotes contributions in the areas of integration, synthesis, assessment in scientific research, engineering solutions, and scientific innovations in aid of adaptation procedure and management to maximize the economic and communal progress, paving the path towards sustainable improvement.

Water is a vital and universally distributed natural resource that plays an important role in the global biogeochemical cycle, and is essential to the survival of life. Water has many roles in human life: it is used for irrigation and industry, for domestic use, and for recreation and tourism. Water is also an important health and environmental issue, as water availability, contamination, and pollution are all major concerns.

The Journal of Water (JW) aims to contribute to the understanding and sustainable management of water resources through the dissemination of scientific knowledge related to the chemistry, biology, geology, hydrology, engineering, and physical properties of water. JW strives to provide a platform for sharing and exchanging ideas in water research, bringing together multi-disciplinary information from basic science to engineering.

The Topics of the Journal of Water includes surface water and sediment quality assessment, water resources engineering and management, aquaculture and fisheries, oceanography, water pollution and wastewater treatment, coastal water resources, drinking water treatment and its environmental effects, hydrology and water economics, water harvesting and conservation, climate change and impacts on water resources, Arsenic in water and health, as well as any covering state-of-the-art research on water.

The scope of the journal is outlined below, but not strictly confined to them.
