Upholding Scientific Standards
JN adheres to guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and ICMJE. Our policies protect the integrity of the oncology literature and ensure transparent, ethical editorial processes.
Double-Blind Process
Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout review, ensuring manuscripts are judged solely on scientific and clinical merit without institutional bias.
Expert Evaluation
Minimum two independent oncology expert reviews required. Editors select reviewers with relevant cancer specialization and no conflicts of interest.
Constructive Feedback
Reviewers provide detailed, actionable comments. We expect professional, evidence-based critique aimed at improving manuscript quality for patient benefit.
Appeals Process
Authors may appeal editorial decisions in writing with specific rebuttals to reviewer concerns and new supporting evidence from additional studies.
