Aims and Scope

Journal of Mammal Research (JMR) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal devoted to publishing original, high-quality research papers on topics related to mammalian biology. JMR makes scientific results easily accessible to the broadest possible audience for the improvement of scientific knowledge and understanding.

The journal publishes original articles focused on taxonomic, ecological, evolutionary, and physiological aspects of mammalian species, including their behavior, population dynamics, and conservation. All papers undergo a rigorous peer-review process and are thoroughly edited before being accepted for publication. The primary goal of JMR is to provide a platform for publishing novel and important research results in mammalian biology and related disciplines. To this end, the journal encourages scientists to submit original manuscripts in a variety of fields, including molecular evolution, organismal biology, ecology and physiology, molecular genetics, and behavior.

We also welcome studies with theoretical and experimental approaches including but not limited to microarrays, bioinformatics, animal modeling, and agroecology. In order to provide an inclusive platform, we warmly invite submissions from students, scientists, and post-doctoral researchers from all around the world. The journal covers topics such as conservation, anatomy, physiology, behavior, genetics, ecology, and systematics of mammalian species. We welcome submissions from researchers in the field and other professionals interested in mammalian natural history.

The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, feature articles, and short communications in the field of mammal research on an international basis. Journal of Mammal Research(JMR) is committed to disseminating the highest quality research to a broad and varied audience of specialized readers. To this end, the journal seeks to provide detailed, comprehensive, and up-to-date coverage of the relevant topics, as well as to identify, explore and promote new approaches to mammal research.

In order to ensure that readers receive the most up-to-date and comprehensive information, the Journal of Mammal Research(JMR) encourages authors to submit their manuscripts to the journal's editors for editorial review. The editors review each submission with the aim of providing early and extensive feedback to the authors and offering advice on how to improve the article prior to further review. 

In order to uphold the highest standards of scholarly communication, JMR is committed to peer review of all submissions through its dedicated editorial board. All papers will go through a single-blind peer review process, and only those papers that meet the journal's standards of quality and scientific merit will be accepted for publication.

JMR is to publish articles that focus research on Mammals. Its scope covers all aspects of mammalian biology and ecology. JMR Welcomes articles with- Analytical and systematic reviews of theoretical and applied research on mammals, meta-analyses, practical evaluation techniques for studies on mammals, and a wide range of considerations of the conservation and management of mammals.
