Address:
Ruđer Bošković Institute, Bijenička 54, 10000 Zagreb
Research Interests:
(i) the structure and evolutionary trends of repeats in complex genomes (model organisms; Tribolium (Coleoptera) and Meloidogyne (Nematode)
(ii) molecular mechanisms leading to amplification, sequence homogenization and conservation satellite DNA sequence in closely related species.
(iii) mapping and analyses of satellite DNA arrays and epigenetic markers at holocentric centromeres
(iv) comparative genomics of satelitome. In my work I combined experimental and bioinformatical approaches (eg. Tandem Repeats Database Platform, PhyML software, Repeat Explorer).
