Investigation of the detrimental circulatory and renal influences of drugs of abuse (e.g. alcohol and nicotine) and immunosuppressant drugs, cellular and molecular aspects of these interactions, peripheral and central controlling mechanisms, roles of gonadal hormones and sexual dimorphism, and potential therapeutic strategies.
